My name is Riley Martian, I am a 24-year old woman currently residing in Kamloops. I respect and acknowledge that I am guest living and studying on the ancestral, traditional, and unceded territory of the Secwepemc Nation.

I am in my fourth year of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Thompson Rivers University. I anticipate to graduate in April, 2023. I have a fiancé named Kenny, who works in the mining industry, a two-year-old son named Lachlan, and a charcoal lab named Rocco. My little adventure-seeking family loves to spend time outdoors exploring nature.

My current nursing placement is in the home health division, in which I work closely with clients and their families to promote health and wellness. I am passionate about helping others, leading by example, and being an advocate for change. I channel my energy into empowering my patients to make informed decisions about their health, wellness, and environment.

Outside of nursing, I am an outdoor enthusiast who loves to go hiking in the mountains. I spend most of my time exploring forests and climbing to the mountain tops with my family. I love both the adrenaline rush and physical challenge of scaling a mountain side, and the peace and tranquility of connecting with nature. I also enjoy spending my free time playing with my toddler at the waterpark, mountain biking with my family, reading a good book, or travelling to new countries.
